Ronaldo's hat-trick denies Shibasaki's heroics.
Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick powers Real Madrid to win in the Club World Cup finals with the help of some extra-time.

 Real Madrid had started the game as the favorites and scored the opener in the 9th minute, when Vasquez crossed in but the defender got to it and it went straight into the path of Modric who shot but the keeper saved it and the ball fell straight into the path of Karim Benzema who finished it easily to take the lead.

 Mitsu Ogasawara, the captain came close to equalise but the ball kept on rising and had a dip but it was already out for a goal kick.

 Both Varane and Casemiro failed to steal the ball from Kashima's attacker before he launched a cross to Shibasaki whose shot was enough to beat Keylor Navas at goal.

 The Japanese side surprisingly took the lead in the 51st minute again a goal by Shibasaki after he fired at goal from distance straight into the bottom corner past Keylor Navas.

 But fortune was in favor of Real only when in the hour mark Yamamoto clipped Vasquez in the box and Cristiano Ronaldo fired the penalty home perfectly.

 Real came on a counter attack lead by Ronaldo after he dodged to defenders at the edge of the box and shot but the keeper cleared it for a corner.

 Marcelo and Benzema were humiliating the defenders. Benzema skid past two defenders alone after crossing it to Marcelo whose shot went straight into the keeper's hand.

 The Portuguese superstar had the ball in the net again but the assistant referee had the offside flag up.

 Navas saved Madrid twice: a good 30-yard half-volley from Fabricio and a one-on-one save again. Ramos could have been red-carded but the referee just let it go.

 Karim Benzema's through ball in the 97th minute to Cristiano Ronaldo gave Madrid the lead and Ronaldo's second goal also.

 Cristiano Ronaldo sealed of his hat-trick and Real's club glory in the 104th minute after Kroos' shot was blocked but it fell right into Cristiano Ronaldo's path who makes no mistake in finishing from those areas.

Ronaldo and Benzema lift Real over Club America.

 Cristiano Ronaldo proves again that why he's the best player in the world by scoring a goal and sending Real Madrid to the finals of Club World Cup.

 Real had a chance early in the game after a out swinging corner by Toni Kroos on which Lucas Vasquez shot a volley on goal but missed it miserably.

 Ronaldo was ruled offside after a through ball from Vasquez which hit the post and could have been a goal if seen by the goal line technology, but the flag was up for offside.

 Ronaldo hit the post again in the 25th minute. He hit the wall the second time in the game when a freekick was awarded at 23-yards or so but hit a thumping volley which was well saved by Munoz.

 Toni Kroos provided an assist to Benzema in the 45+1 minute to break the deadlock after many chances swaying by their side.

 Munoz was again the savior of America when he saved another powerful Cristiano Ronaldo shot in the 60th minute.

 Their was a misunderstanding between Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema as Ronaldo missed an open goal when Benzema came in front of him.

 Cristiano Ronaldo rounded off the scoreline in the 3rd and the last minute of stoppage time but the referee needed video assistance to rule his goal which was also his 500th club goal.
