Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspurs - Match Report

15:26

Dele Alli scores twice as Spurs break Chelsea's winning streak.

Dele Alli's double denied Chelsea to break Arsenal's record and help Spurs to be in the title race.

The result means that Chelsea will miss their opportunity to go up eight points clear and Spurs move up to the third position, seven behind Chelsea. Dele Alli's consistent run continued as he has now seven goals in four games.

Mousa Dembele, who was rested against Watford returned to the lineup along with Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen both coming back from suspensions.

Pedro was back from suspension and replaced Willian and Nemanja Matic replaced Fabregas in the midfield.

Chelsea could have taken the lead when Matic's long ball forward found Hazard in space but the Belgian took a half-volley and finished wide.

After another attempt drifted away, Diego Costa sounded off at teammate Pedro for making the wrong run, which prompted Pedro to turn to Costa. This tussle between the Chelsea teammates was enjoyed by the Spurs fans.

Eriksen drove narrowly wide from distance and Eric Dier's header at the back post needed to be palmed away by Courtois.

But the deadlock was broken when Eriksen and Alli combined, the former lifting a cross to the latter, who sneaked between Moses and Azpilicueta to give Tottenham the lead.

Costa tested Hugo Lloris with a fizzling shot and then Hazard somehow nodding wide from five yards when the goal was at his mercy.

The momentum of the visitors was quickly shifted as Alli again eluded Moses and Azpilicueta at the back post and again headed home Eriksen's cross.

Real Madrid vs Sevilla - Match Report

14:54

James Rodriguez powers Madrid for a first-leg victory over Sevilla.

Two goals from James Rodriguez and a header by Raphael Varane helps Real to take a step forward and maintaining their unbeaten streak.

Morata missed an early chance when Modric picked him out in the six-yard box but he could only divert the ball wide with the linesman saving the striker's blushes as he was flagged offside.

James Rodriguez proved his value when Casemiro stole the ball from Steven N'Zonzi on the edge of the penalty area and it fell right in the path of Rodriguez who curled into the bottom corner from 20 yards out leaving Sergio Rico no chance.

Five minutes later Carvajal picked out Modric whose acrobatic effort for the goal was wide of the post.

Real was a constant threat and in the 29th minute, Rodriguez played a deep cross to Marcelo whose powerful volley was saved by Sergio Rico at his near post and the ball was cleared for a corner.

Real Madrid scored on a corner in the 29th minute, delivered by Kroos and finished by Varane with his head.

Morata showed some amazing skills beating 3 of Sevilla's defenders but was unable to get his shot past Sergio Rico.

Sevilla's first dangerous attack came way too late in the 41st minute where Kiko Casilla came to the rescue of Madrid saving a 1v1 against Vitolo.

Two minutes later Sevilla were again in trouble after Mariano tumbled over Modric in the box that resulted in a penalty and James Rodriguez had no problem in sending Rico the wrong way to score his second.

The game was then boring and no chances were created by Sevilla and Morata wasting two Marcelo crosses. Real, with this victory, extended their unbeaten run to 38 games. Now they face Granda on 7th of January.

Manchester United vs West Ham United - Match Report

17:56

Manchester United extend their unbeaten run by defeating 10-man West Ham.

Juan Mata and Zlatan Ibrahimovic powers Manchester United to straight 6th victory.

West Ham had a chance created in the 9th minute when Payet passed Lanzini who took a touch and fired it at the goal but David De Gea saved it. West Ham had a setback when Sofiane Feghouli was shown a red card for a foul on Phil Jones. But honestly, I don't think
it was a red card offense.

Manchester United had an amazing chance to take the lead in the 35th minute when Ibrahimovic crossed in to Mkhitaryan who then passed it to Valencia whose effort from six-yards was saved by Randolph but it bounced back to Lingard whose effort was also saved by Randolph.

Again Lanzini's shot in the 44th minute was saved by De Gea. A Dimitri Payet freekick in the 52nd minute was left untouched as West Ham wasted another opportunity to take the lead.

West Ham had another brilliant opportunity in the 60th minute when Manuel Lanzini gave an amazing through ball to Michail Antonio whose effort was saved by De Gea very well.

United took the lead in the 62nd minute when Rashford showed some amazing footwork before crossing to Mata who took the shot first time and gave United the lead.

Rashford again could be the provider when his cross was fired wide by Pogba with Mata waiting to take the shot.

Ibrahimovic made the game out of West Ham's reach when Pedro Obiang failed to clear Ander Herrera's shot, it bounced for Ibrahimovic who blasted it home with 12 minutes remaining.

Manchester United vs Middlesbrough - Match Report

11:52

Manchester United seal a dramatic comeback win over Middlesbrough at Old Trafford.

Goals from Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba helps United to script a comeback win over Middlesbrough on the New Year's Eve.

United hit the post the first time and it was a close call. Martial's cross met Mkhitaryan's head who cushioned it to Pogba whose overhead effort saw the post.

United came close again, this time again with Martial who made a wonderful run with the ball before passing it to Mkhitaryan whose shot was saved easily by old United keeper Victor Valdes.

Martial again came close to give United the breakthrough but the Frenchman's 30-yard effort in the 38th minute hit the post.

It was again Martial who played a little skill show before crossing it to Zlatan who had the ball in the goal but his kung-fu kick effort was canceled by the referee as a high-boot.

Ibrahimovic's effort was saved sharply by Victor Valdes. Pogba again tried an overhead kick from a Daley Blind corner but was wide at goal.

Middlesbrough came on the attack with Calum Chambers launching a deep cross from the right to Alvaro Negredo who cushioned it with his head and the advancing Leadbitter took his chance and gave Middlesbrough the lead.

Mata's volley was blocked from the edge of the box but it was straight into the path of Ibrahimovic who was blocked again by Victor Valdes.

Ibrahimovic nodded down a long ball to Martial's feet who gave United the equaliser they were looking for.

Mata crossed it wide to Pogba who headed it home sweetly into the top corner with two minutes remaining.

Chelsea vs Stoke City - Match Report

21:31

Willian's double guides Chelsea to victory at Stamford Bridge.

Goals from Willian, Gary Cahill and Diego Costa lift Chelsea over Stoke City.

N'Golo Cante missed an early opportunity as he shot wide of goal in a quickly taken corner.

Fabregas crossed the ball to Diego Costa who took his first touch brilliantly and placed the ball in a shooting position but only saw his shot saved by Lee Grant in the Stoke goal.

Diego Costa had another wonderful chance when he controlled a David Luiz ball smartly but Lee Grant was alert and leaped into the Spaniard's feet to save Stoke. But his clearance was straight at Hazard who forced Grant to make a sharp save.

Chelsea broke the deadlock in the 34th minute when Fabregas delivered a corner which was headed home by Gary Cahill, the skipper for the night.

Stoke City were back in the game in the second half when Charlie Adam shot a free-kick in the box from distance which was finished by Bruno Martins Indi.

Victor Moses made a fantastic run with the ball beating three Stoke City defenders before he was intercepted but the loose ball was picked by Willian who shot it first time wide from goal.

Chelsea made a good move and Moses got the ball from Azpilicueta and gave a fake shot to a Stoke defender before crossing it to Eden Hazard who cushioned a  pass to Willian and Willian made no mistake in giving Chelsea the lead.

But Stoke had other plans. Charlie Adam flew the ball from the centre-line to Peter Crouch who controlled it good but lost control. Bojan picked the loose ball and from then it was a mismatch in the Chelsea box before Bojan found Mame Diouf who crossed to Crouch and Crouch gave the equaliser to Stoke.

Chelsea once again found the back of the net, when Fabregas fed Willian who finished it emphatically at the near post.

Costa fired over from Hazard's cross before Adam's poor defensive header from Marcos Alonso's attacking throw-in. The Spaniard out-muscled Martins Indi before drilling in his 14th goal of the season.

Liverpool vs Manchester City - Match Report

13:51

Liverpool still chasing Chelsea as Klopp's side beat City 1-0.

Liverpool beat Manchester City with an early goal from Wijnaldum and still in the race for the top as they close in by 6 points.

Liverpool had the ball in the net in just 8 minutes on their first attack. Firmino played an out-foot pass to Lallana who crossed the ball to meet Wijnaldum who was racing towards the box and headed the ball into the back of the net.

Aguero made a good run with the ball, beating two Liverpool defenders before trying to bend it with his outer foot but missed the target.

Emre Can and Wijnaldum both chose to shot top corners but missed by miles. Simon Mignolet played with Aguero a little by showing off his skills before passing it to his defender.

Fernandinho stole Roberto Firmino's pass and he passed it to De Bruyne who beat a couple of defenders before almost finding Aguero. Just before the break, Lallana was found offside.

Aguero had his first shot of the night but Mignolet saved easily. David Silva cut inside the box and beat two Liverpool defenders before shooting it just wide of the goal.

Sterling and Silva played a one-two before Sterling crossed into the box to De Bruyne whose shot was blocked.
