Liverpool still chasing Chelsea as Klopp's side beat City 1-0.

Liverpool beat Manchester City with an early goal from Wijnaldum and still in the race for the top as they close in by 6 points. 

Liverpool had the ball in the net in just 8 minutes on their first attack. Firmino played an out-foot pass to Lallana who crossed the ball to meet Wijnaldum who was racing towards the box and headed the ball into the back of the net.

Aguero made a good run with the ball, beating two Liverpool defenders before trying to bend it with his outer foot but missed the target.

Emre Can and Wijnaldum both chose to shot top corners but missed by miles. Simon Mignolet played with Aguero a little by showing off his skills before passing it to his defender.

Fernandinho stole Roberto Firmino's pass and he passed it to De Bruyne who beat a couple of defenders before almost finding Aguero. Just before the break, Lallana was found offside.

Aguero had his first shot of the night but Mignolet saved easily. David Silva cut inside the box and beat two Liverpool defenders before shooting it just wide of the goal.

Sterling and Silva played a one-two before Sterling crossed into the box to De Bruyne whose shot was blocked.
