Benzema's late equaliser helps Real to salvage a draw and make a new Spanish record.

Goals from Karima Benzema, Marco Asensio and a penalty from Sergio Ramos cancels out goals from Jovetic, Iborra and a Danilo own-goal.

Real Madrid had left out Ronaldo from their 19-men squad and rested Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Isco and Raphael Varane. Samir Nasri and Steven N'Zonzi didn't start for Sevilla and Sergio Rico was rested.

Sevilla were constantly making problems for the Real Madrid defense and finally they broke the deadlock, well not actually 'they' broke it, it was Danilo who, with his own-goal, gave Sevilla the lead.

Kiko Casilla made a good save from a powerful shot in the 27th minute. He had to stretch out to make another save in the same minute.

Sevilla's lead was equalled with an amazing one-man army counter-attack by Marco Asensio who had got the ball in the Real Madrid 18-yard box and sprinted all the way to finish.

Sevilla took the lead again, this time with debutant Jovetic who shot a volley past Kiko Casilla. He had another shot blocked by Casilla in the 63rd minute.

Sevilla again scored a goal and it looked like game over for Real when a patience Samir Nasri passed forward and the cross was straight to Iborra who made no mistake.

Kovacic earned a penalty for Madrid in the 82nd minute and Sergio Ramos scored a cheeky Panenka goal.

Benzema levelled with a deflected shot on the last shot of the night and with that Real made the Spanish record of most games unbeaten.
